چکیده

Thesis Abstract Background: Breast cancer is a heterogeneous disease that mandate efficient therapeutics, lower drug toxicity, and overcoming resistance. Combination therapy was suggested as future treatment to attain the required efficacy tolerable side effects. Aim: The current study aimed compare evaluate of single combined treatments in MCF-7 breast cell line. Materials Methods: included seven groups according modality. Cell viability evaluated by MTT assay at different doses time course treatments. Results: When nanoparticles were used alone, starting point significant death 100 µg, but when using photothermal combination modality loss % bout 2- fold higher than alone especially low concentrations there difference between 2 groups. There FAC + AuNPs group compared only or control (p ≤ 0.05). Taxol effect radiation on within all subgroups ( p < 0.001 for R0, p=0.001 R2 subgroup). each subgroup indicated values p= 0.027 RN0, RN2). Conclusion: Combined GNPs FAC, paclitaxel, Radiotherapy modalities could improve outcomes prognosis.

Dosimetric comparison of whole breast radiotherapy using field in field and conformal radiotherapy techniques in early stage breast cancer

Background: We aimed to compare field-in-field technique (FIF) with conformal tangential field radiotherapy (CRT) in terms of dosimetric benefits for early stage breast cancer radiotherapy. Materials and Methods: Twenty consecutive left-side breast cancer patients who underwent breast-conserving surgery were included to the study. For each patient, two different treatment plans were cr...

Assessment of in vitro radiosensitivity parameters of breast cancer cells following exposure to radiotherapy hospital-based facilities

Introduction: The aim of the present study was to assess the radiosensitivity parameters for SK-BR-3 (SKBR3) breast cancer cells that could be implemented in the cutting-edge treatment planning systems (TPS) for accelerated partial-breast irradiation (APBI). Materials and Methods: The cell survival fraction and its relevant radiosensitivity coefficients, namely α and β, in linear-quadratic (LQ)...

Acute Skin and Pharynx Complications Following Adjuvant Hypofractionated Versus Conventional Radiotherapy in Patients with Breast Cancer

Background: Hypofractionated radiotherapy (HF) method was introduced to overcome the quickly growing tumor cells as well as shortening whole treatment course in solid tumors such as breast cancers. Here, we compared the incidence of dermatitis and pharyngitis among patients undergoing HF versus conventional fractionationated (CF) radiation therapy following surgery for breast cancer. Methods: ...

Expression of Some Genes Involved in Epigenetic in Breast Cancer Cell Lines: The Effect of Quercetin

Background & Objectives: Breast cancer is one of the most common cancers among women. Incorrect pattern of gene expression involved in epigenetic including APOBEC3B, DNMT-1, and TET-1 can develop breast cancer. Quercetin is a natural flavonoid with antioxidant and anti-cancer properties that have been reported in other studies. To investigate the effect mechanism of quercetin, this study examin...
